Mi Bliss sanitary pads create significant environmental impact by replacing conventional plastic-based menstrual products with biodegradable alternatives. Conventional sanitary pads contain large amounts of petroleum-based plastics that persist in landfills and ecosystems for centuries. By contrast, Mi Bliss pads are designed to reduce plastic content by approximately 80–90%, decompose within months, and minimize microplastic pollution and toxic emissions. If one million women replace conventional pads with Mi Bliss for their entire menstrual lifetime, nearly 100,000 tonnes of plastic waste can be prevented from entering landfills, soil, and water systems. At the same time, around 600,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions can be avoided due to reduced reliance on fossil-based materials and lower disposal-related emissions. As adoption scales, the impact grows significantly. For five million women, Mi Bliss could prevent about 500,000 tonnes of plastic waste and reduce approximately 3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. At a scale of ten million users, the impact could reach one million tonnes of plastic waste avoided and nearly six million tonnes of CO₂ emissions reduced. These reductions are equivalent to removing millions of plastic waste loads and the annual emissions of hundreds of thousands of cars, demonstrating Mi Bliss’s potential to deliver meaningful environmental and climate benefits.
